Our Junior School Library
A very busy place!
Our Barbreck Library, for our Early Learning Centre and Junior School students, is a very busy place.
A weekly visit to the library is incorporated into our students' School program, ensuring our girls and ELC boys always have a good book to read or share. At the library, our students have access to a range of interesting children's story books and junior fiction, which complement their various stages of literacy development.
Recently, we ran a ‘Love Your Library' student competition which explored the various ways students can enjoy the library. Many of the student entries mentioned the fabulous books, quiet reading spaces and games and activities.
The Barbreck Library staff work collaboratively with the teaching staff to develop students' library and research skills. The library frequently introduces new resources and references to support classroom learning, and to keep up with students' imaginations!
Our Barbreck and Nicholas Library maintain a close link, ensuring St Catherine's has a seamless and whole School approach to its Library Service.
