Little Annie a showstopper
The Junior School cast of Annie Jr staged two colourful performances for audiences last Friday.
What a wonderful choice Annie Jr was for this year’s St Catherine’s Junior School Musical!
An orphan with a mop of red curly hair and cast of enthusiastic young singers and dancers, took to the stage on Friday 4 September for two colourful performances of the much loved musical, based on Harold Gray’s comic strip Little Orphan Annie.
After weeks of rehearsals with Junior School Music Co-ordinator Ms Stephanie Nicholls and the Annie Jr production team, the cast of girls from Years 4 – 6 impressed audiences with their confidence on stage and their singing of the popular musical numbers - Tomorrow and It’s the Hard-Knock Life.
The staging of Annie Jr was the culmination of months of hard work, where our Junior School girls have grown in confidence, applauded each other’s efforts and taken pride in their own contributions.
