Old Girl appointed to the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission!
Carolyn Creswell, founder of Carman's Fine Foods and a St Catherine's Old Girl (1991), has been appointed as a board member of the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission (VEOHC).
In making the announcement, Victorian Deputy Premier and Attorney-General Rob Hulls said Carolyn was a stand out candidate whose vast business experience would link the VEOHC into the needs of the business community and the effect of regulation on them.
Carolyn entered the world of business in 1992, when she bought a struggling small bakery for $1,000 at the tender age of 18. Seventeen years on and Carman's Fine Foods has flourished into a global brand wholesaling muesli and muesli bars to thousands of retail outlets.
Besides managing her successful business, Carolyn is also an advocate for family-friendly work practices and is involved in the Body Shop's Bizness Babes program, which works to help disadvantaged women start their own businesses.
In 2008, Carolyn was a guest speaker at the St Catherine's annual Ruth Langley Luncheon, inspiring women from our Community with her professional journey.
We congratulate Carolyn on her appointment to the VEOHC.
