Music Achievements

One of the delights of our Junior and Senior School assembly times is the many and varied musical performances that take place. The following comments from our Head of Music, Mrs Jenny Mathers, regarding the instrumental, vocal and theory achievements of our girls indicates something of the richness of our program.
Girls have been sitting for various AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) examinations in a variety of instruments during the year with great success. Results are published regularly in the Music Notes section of the Weekly News but it was lovely to be able to present the certificates publicly in our formal assembly. Of particular note were the results in Music Theory, where Si Won Fei, Clare Field and Kristen Field all received Certificates of High Distinction (99%) for Grade 3 and Gwynneth Cheale and Renee Sheary received a High Distinction for Grade 4 Theory. Congratulations again to all the hard working music students who set goals for themselves via this examination system.
