Senior School Covered Outdoor Learning Space
We are delighted to announce that the School's project to replace the Clocktower Roofing with a pitched glass roof which will extend to join the Humanities Building and enclose the space with glass walls and doors, has commenced.
The Project has been approved by, and will receive $200,000 in funding from the Commonwealth Government's Building the Education Revolution - National School Pride initiative. The School acknowledges the work of the Endowment Fund Investment Committee which will provide the balance of the funds for the project.
The Atrium will provide a much needed enclosed flexible outdoor space for the girls. The design is architecturally appealing with natural light, ventilation and heating planned. The glass doors and walls will enclose the space at St Catherine's Lane and the Piazza and allow for year round use. This exciting project will be completed by the end of 2009.
On completion of this refurbishment we will quickly move to work on the external part of Barbreck.
